Make a safety plan

A safety plan will help to remind you of the things you can do to get through difficult times.

If you’re worried that someone may be thinking of suicide, you could work through their safety plan with them or help them to make a plan.

You don’t have to be a professional to help someone who is thinking of suicide.

If you’re worried that someone you know might be thinking of suicide, the best thing to do is ask directly and be ready to listen.
