The Speak Their Name Greater Manchester Suicide Memorial Quilt will be on display at Manchester Art Gallery from the 10th September – World Suicide Prevention Day- for a week and is free to view.
It was created during 2020 by suicide bereaved people across Greater Manchester.
The project enabled those bereaved by suicide to gain peer support and learn crafting skills to help them with their grief.
The completed quilt is a powerful piece of art and remembrance- every stitch made with love.

Shining a light on suicide
The website has been commissioned by NHS Greater Manchester. The aim of the Shining a Light on Suicide campaign is to prevent suicide and provide support information for those bereaved by suicide and those dealing with suicidal thoughts.
