On the 21st December 2023, BBC Breakfast ran a feature about our Sing Their Name Choir for those bereaved by suicide in Greater Manchester.
On the 21st December 2023, BBC Breakfast ran a feature about our Sing Their Name Choir for those bereaved by suicide in Greater Manchester.
Following a short film they interviewed choir member Thelma, about what the choir means to her following the death of her son Lee to suicide.
The response to the feature from around the country has been very positive with one area planning to start their own Sing Their Name Choir.
More people across Greater Manchester bereaved by suicide have now been made aware of this opportunity for support and the choir has gained new members.

Shining a light on suicide
The website has been commissioned by NHS Greater Manchester. The aim of the Shining a Light on Suicide campaign is to prevent suicide and provide support information for those bereaved by suicide and those dealing with suicidal thoughts.
