Time Together Service of reflection for those affected by suicide.
On Saturday 6th September 2025, a Time Together Service of reflection for those affected by suicide, was held at Manchester Cathedral for the first time.
The one hour service included testimonies from those impacted by suicide, poetry readings, music and the Sing Their Name Choir performed. The Greater Manchester Speak Their Name Suicide Memorial Quilt was also on display.
A number of suicide bereavement support charities attended to share their support offers.
Manchester Cathedral generously provided refreshments after the service.
The service was one of four across the country bringing those affected by suicide together to remember their loved ones.
A Time Together Service is being planned for Sunday 6th September 2026.
Shining a light on suicide
The website has been commissioned by NHS Greater Manchester. The aim of the Shining a Light on Suicide campaign is to prevent suicide and provide support information for those bereaved by suicide and those dealing with suicidal thoughts.
