Communities of Hope Community Reporters capture stories of support and hope across Greater Manchester.
In 2024, the Communities of Hope initiative of newly trained Community Reporters captured stories of support and hope across Greater Manchester.
Reporters went on location across the City region to capture these stories thanks to a partnership between media social enterprise, Yellow Jigsaw, and NHS Greater Manchester’s Shining A Light on Suicide campaign.
Adele Owen, Suicide Prevention Lead at NHS Greater Manchester said:

Shining a light on suicide
The website has been commissioned by NHS Greater Manchester. The aim of the Shining a Light on Suicide campaign is to prevent suicide and provide support information for those bereaved by suicide and those dealing with suicidal thoughts.
