During our Month of Hope there will be a number of Walks of Hope happening that everyone is welcome to attend. An opportunity to get outdoors, meet others and talk.

Bury are holding two Walks of Hope: Friday 7th October 11am-12.30pm meeting at the Creative Living Centre, 1A Rectory lane, Prestwich M25 1BP (Tel: 0161 6967501) and Saturday 8th October at Burrs Country Park from 9.30am

Salford are running a wellbeing walk at RHS Bridgewater on Tuesday 4 October, 12pm -1pm (meet promptly at 11.50am at the front of the Welcome Building). To join the fully accessible social walk in the beautiful RHS garden, meet new people, have a chat and a drink in the café post walk, attendees must:

  • Bring proof of ID if you are a Salford Resident or an RHS member
  • Wear flat grippy shoes or trainers and suitable clothing for the weather
  • Bring some water

Tameside’s Walk of Hope will take place  4-7.30pm on Monday 10th October – World Mental Health Day- at Highfield Pavilion, Stamford Park (SK15 1QZ). Tameside Rays of Hope, a display of messages of hope and commemoration, will be unveiled before a candle-lit Walk of Hope starting at 5.30pm walking through Stamford Park’s beautiful grounds. with an exhibition and stalls. https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/tameside-walk-of-hope-tickets-418966649527

Wigan. From Monday 12 September at Orrell Water Park weekly mindfulness walks will be run every Monday (10.30am-11.30am). For further information contact the Creative Living Centre on 0161 6967501

Trafford are holding a Walk of Hope on Friday 23rd September from Sale Sports Club M33 2DE. Arrive at 9.45am for a 10am start and choose between the 2 mile walk or the 4 mile one.
